Privacy Notice

 

To conduct its day-to-day activity, North Walsham Good Neighbour Scheme needs to gather, store safely and securely, and process some personal information about those who request help from the Scheme and those who wish to volunteer with the Scheme.

We legally need your consent to do this.  You can withdraw your consent at any time.

For those who wish to become a Scheme volunteer we need to know: your name; address; contact details (i.e. phone number and/or email address), details of what you wish to offer and an emergency contact. We also need a passport photo for an Identity Badge. We will retain this data for as long as you are part of the Scheme. We store information securely on our Pro-forms software system.

For those who are requesting help from the Scheme we need to know: your name; address; contact details (i.e. phone number and/or email address) and relevant details of the help you are requesting. We may pass on this information to one of our trained Volunteers, for the purpose of them contacting you to make arrangements to meet your request. We will retain this information for as long as we have your consent. You can, of course, withdraw your consent at any time.

You have the right to complain to the Scheme and to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you have a problem with the way we are handling your data.  See relevant telephone numbers below.

Other rights you have include:

  • Access to the data we hold on you.
  • Right to Rectification – we will correct inaccurate information.
  • Right to Erasure – the right to be forgotten i.e. withdrawal of consent or removal of data, if the information is no longer needed.
  • Right to Restrict how we use your data e.g. for use in marketing.
